The goal of the Mannford Early Childhood Center is to provide developmentally appropriate early learning experiences for 4-5 year olds that will prepare them for success in future educational settings while instilling a lifelong love of learning. This goal will be accomplished through PLAY because "play" is a child's "work" at this age. The curriculum is based on the whole child philosophy, incorporating activities that teach to intelligences and address all learning styles.
Mannford Pre-K strives to provide a safe, nurturing environment that will stimulate students to learn
and develop responsibility during their introduction
to formal education.
Kindergarten's focus is on reading and math. The program provides learning centers or learning areas arranged in a safe and nurturing environment. Each center will provide a variety of activities for the children. This arrangement allows for a wide range of developmental interests and abilities within the classroom.
The curriculum builds upon what children already know and are able to do to enable them to connect
new concepts and skills. We strive to prepare our student's for a new world of learning.
